BAXTER, Anna Lyn (nee Cardy)
23 June 1949 - 7 May 2017, of Port Hope, formerly of Kingston, Ontario.
Anna Lyn was the loving and much loved companion of Stephen B H Smith and the widow of Andrew Baxter (2010). She was the adored mother of Megan (Bill Templeton), Sarah (Jonathan Albright), and Laura (Shawn Henry). She was the loving step-mother of Ann Smith (Tauhid Rahman) and Jennifer Smith (Luc Fournier), and grandmother of Tasbih and Nayeem Rahman and Leiya, Antoine, and Charlotte Fournier. She is mourned by her sisters Susan and Jacqueline Cardy.
Anna Lyn died suddenly but peacefully at The Northumberland Hills Hospital following a massive stroke at her home in Port Hope.
Following cremation, a celebration of her life will be held at St Mark’s Anglican Church, 51 King Street in Port Hope on Monday May 15 at 12 noon, followed by a reception in the hall.
