The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Watson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Condolences to Mrs. W, Tracy and Gary.

I can remember the days of Bill tearing down his Saab in the garage on Posthorn. When Gary and I built a go kart, Bill peered at it and laughed, I am sure he could have added some mechanical brilliance to our non mechanical non brilliance. Lesson learned by his laugh.

Bill got myself and Gary caddie positions at the Ontario Seniors Tournament, great experience. Golf was a definite passion for Bill.

Seeing him out of the "blue" at a Rangers v's Toronto Blizzard game at Varsity Stadium, a true and loyal Rangers fan, obviously I sat next to him watching the game.

Bills humour was faultless, it was always a pleasure to see him.

Never forgotten.

Mike Greig

Condolence: I've known the Watson family my whole life. I've spent many Christmases and holidays with Bill and will always look back fondly on the way he'd pause for reflection mid story, as if gathering his thoughts before continuing. He stood tall and proud, with piercing blue eyes that made you feel as if you had his full attention. We didn't agree on everything but we had the kind of relationship where that didn't matter. I'll miss his 'how ye deein' pet?'greeting, and how his eyes crinkled up when he laughed. His amazing accent and the way my friends would just smile and nod when they talked to him, having no idea what he was saying. Christmas dinners will never be the same without you.

We're here for you Anne, Tracy and Gary and we love you all very much.
xx Kelly & Shawn Boyer

Condolence: Before 2013, I only met Bill once, (when on a short trip to Scotland, Bill and Anne travelled a long way to visit us in the Cotswold), but I will treasure for the rest of my days, the very found memories of Eileen and I two weeks trip to Canada in May 2013, when Bill and Anne were fantastic and most generous hosts, (they even allowed me to cook Dinner in their Kitchen one evening..... quite a dangerous thing to do!). My memories of Bill, will always epitomise, (in my opinion), what's the very best of Scottish people. Being up-front, gregarious, extremely good company and most of all; Generous in Spirit!!! - R.I.P. Bill.

Goodnight Billy
Lots of love
Eileen

Condolence From: Frank & Norma Keith
Condolence: Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Anne, Tracy, Gary. We have known Bill & Anne since 1985 and Frank worked with Bill at Metro Housing in Toronto from 1985-97. When we moved from Toronto in 2003 to Cobourg, Bill & Anne followed shortly afterward in 2004 to Port Hope. Bill & Frank were like brothers, playing golf together and sharing many laughs over a brew or two. Bill loved walking our dogs, Skye & Monty in the local park near their house when we asked them to dog sit for us. Skye crossed over the rainbow bridge last May and I'm sure Skye was wagging his tail as they once again take that walk in the park. We love you Bill and miss you, especially Frank as there will be an empty seat on his golf cart. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Condolence: Bill & Anne have been our "family" since we moved to Toronto more than 35 years ago. We celebrated every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and of course New Year with them. Our kids, Kelly and Craig, regarded Bill and Anne as Uncle and Aunt.
Bill was my friend and I miss him already.

Condolence: Our Uncle Billy was kind, loving and generous with his time. He was a very thoughtful and giving host to us both when we visited him in Canada and we will remember him always with great fondness. The world will be a poorer place without him and his loss will be deeply felt within our family.

Always in our hearts.

With love from,

Keith and Kay xx

Condolence: Billy was my brother-in-law. Nothing was any bother to him. The last time we visited him and Anne he could not do enough for us to ensure we had a brilliant holiday. He was always the perfect host and a really nice bloke.
