On Wednesday July 5, 2017, in Toronto, Adam Day, aged 42, son of Wilfred Day and Margaret Cavan Day of Port Hope. Survived by his sister Alexia and his niece Emilia; and his sister Patricia Ferrari, his niece Lia and nephew Alex. Adam will also be missed by his “aunt” Sue Stickley and Ted Hunt, his “aunt” Mandy Martin, and his relatives in Northern Ireland.

Adam wrote for Legion Magazine from 2004 until recently, winning the Ross Munro Media Award in 2012 for his canon of work on Afghanistan published in Legion Magazine, and in his book Witness To War. He attended Queens University 1994 to 1999, and Port Hope High School from 1989 to 1994.

Friends, admirers and family will gather for a Tribute to Adam at the Lions Centre, 29 Thomas St., Port Hope, on Saturday July 15th from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Stories about Adam will start at 1 p.m.
