Obituary for Christa Helene Kuehn

Christa Helene Kuehn
It is with great sorrow that her family announce the passing of Christa Kuehn, born December 3, 1933 in Lauta, Germany, died in Cobourg on July 13th. Christa led a remarkable life: a childhood in WW II Germany, early adulthood and education in East Germany, a brief but well-remembered career as a nurse, a journey to North America to be a nanny and eventual settlement in Canada to raise a family. She is predeceased by her husband Harry (Aribert) and son-in-law Rick Brown. She is survived by her children Peter (Karen), Norbert (Martha Robinson), and Claudia, her grandchildren Nicholas and Mikayla Kuehn and Jakob and Rachel Brown. Her cherished niece Johanna Schwarzbach and husband Horst were her companions for much of her travel later in life. A memorial celebration for Christa will be held on Saturday August 26th from 2-4pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 388 William St. in Cobourg. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Extendicare in Cobourg.
