Obituary for W. Jackson Peacock
Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on September 17, 2017 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Susan Jane nee Powell. Loving father of Andrew (Ingrid), Shane (Sophie), Stephen (Christie), Mark (Lynda). Grandfather of Liam, Adrian (Jordan), Astrid, (Stuart), Johanna, Hadley, Samuel, Christopher, Leah, Aaron, David, Daniel, Matthew, and Simon. Brother of Alan Peacock (Helen).
Jackson was locally educated and was a graduate of The University of Toronto where he received his bachelors degree in history, a masters degree in history and finally his bachelors degree in education. He had a long career teaching in Atikokan, and Kapuskasing, Ontario where he was head of the history department and principal of Kapuskasing District High School. He also thoroughly enjoyed his second career farming.
Friends are invited to call at Ross Funeral Chapel on Wednesday September 20, 2017 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.
Service will be held at Kendal United Church, on Thursday September 21, 2017 at 2 p.m.
Memorial donations to The Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated and may be received at www.rossfuneralchapel.com
