Peacefully at The Northumberland Hills Hospital Cobourg on Saturday November 11th, 2017 in her 92nd year. Barbara Sokay, beloved wife of the late Benny Sokay. Mother of Teresa and her husband Bob Barrie of Port Hope, Stephanie and her husband Steve Mitchell of Baltimore, Stan and his wife Cindy of Baltimore, Anne and her husband John Sheppard of Elizabethville, Joanne and her husband Shawn Duffy of Cobourg, Ted and his wife Melanie of Cobourg and Mark and his wife Karie of Port Hope.
Special aunt of Jarek Fabian and his wife Barbara of Courtice.
Loving Babcia of Jason Barrie (Linda), Daena Barrie (Steve), and Jonathan Barrie (Jeff), David Mitchell (Stephanie) and Jennifer Arsenault (Shawn), Venetia Harper (Bob), Tara Sokay (Jeff), James Sokay (Christina), Ryan Sheppard, Nicki Ingram (Kyle), Kelsey, and Drew Duffy, Courtney, Jordan, Taylor, Ben, Evan, and Emily Sokay. She will also be missed by her 17 great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call at the Ross Funeral Chapel, 135 Walton St. Port Hope, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Church, Cobourg on Tuesday November 14th at 1 p.m.
