Walkey, Anne Marie (nee Foley)
Born June 23rd, 1939. Originally from Howe Island, Anne Marie left the island to become a teacher and dedicated her life to education. With her beloved husband, the late Ernest Walkey, the two established themselves in Port Hope to raise a family. Anne Marie passed away January 14th, 2018 in Port Hope. Cherished mother to Martha (Paul Crowley) and Alicia (Zachariah Tremaine). Anne adored her three grandchildren Ryan, Aidan, and Anna. Loving sister of Lynda Dillabough of Amherstview. Sister in-law of Rita Foley of Howe Island. Predeceased by parents Cecil and Martha (Garrah) Foley, by brothers, John, Robert, Donald, Neil, brother in-law Merton Dillabough, and sister-in-law Mary Smith. Anne Marie will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Visitation at Ross Funeral Chapel 135 Walton St, Port Hope, ON. Wednesday, January 17th, 2018, from 4 - 7 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Philomena’s Parish, Howe Island on Friday January 19, at 11 a.m.
