Obituary for Helen Ann Trenouth (Yendrick)

TRENOUTH; Helen Ann – On April 19, 2023 passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Centre with her son William and her best friend Sandi Lachner at her side. Helen recently celebrated her 92nd birthday with family and was grateful to have all her great-grandchildren in attendance.

Helen Trenouth was predeceased by her husband Norman Trenouth in 1995, and will join him at the Port Hope Union cemetery where a private service will be held. Helen Trenouth (nee Yendrick) had only one son, William Haight, raising him as a single mother for over 60 years. William (Kersty Franklin) grieves her loss but celebrates her life as do William’s three daughters and their families. She leaves behind Deborah Webster and Helen’s granddaughters, Taylisse Haight (Matt Wiarda) their children Clayton and Adeline that she was so pleased to see; Taryne Haight (Andrew Kujtan) whose wedding she wanted to dance at; and her youngest granddaughter, Rhyllana Haight (Scott Ryan) and children Michael and Archer who will miss her dearly. Helen was loved by her sister Margo Greenaway (and children Damen and Davey), predeceased by her sister Stella, who is waiting in heaven with a cuppa tea and a smoke; and Stella’s children Robin Broske (Frank), Christopher Glober (Crystal Lee), and Gina Renée Glober (Claude Poirier); along with her remaining brother Eddie Yendrick, who was always a help to those who asked. Thank you to Gina for her assistance these last months of her life. Huge gratitude also to her grieving second family of best friend Sandi Lachner (Herb), daughter Tanya (Bob) and their daughter Ryleigh.

Sandi, don’t hurry, but she said she’ll meet you there. Helen loved playing darts with the many friends she made over the years, and if there’s lawn bowling in heaven, Helen is already getting a team together. In keeping with Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
