Obituary for Robert Forth Anglin

Robert Forth Anglin August 1932 – April 2022

Bob Anglin, best known as “Balt” to close friends and family, had a smile and positivity that will live on in all who he met. Born in Kingston, Bob was married to Marilynne (née Neasmith) for 57 years. Living life to the fullest, they embraced each of their communities, including Kingston, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Port Hope. Bob’s greatest pleasure was spending time with Marilynne and his five children. He is survived by Kim, Lori (with Philippe, Simon and Oliver Noël), Patti (with Jeff, Katie, Cooper and Rhys Toogood), Bob, Jr (with Bernadette La Porte, Charlotte and Robert (Joe) Anglin) and Marni. Bob was predeceased by Marilynne and his beloved dog "child" Hunter.

A natural leader, Bob worked for IBM for over 30 years and greatly valued his lifelong friendships with his colleagues.

Keen on any sports, Bob was passionate about basketball and the Toronto Raptors. He was a creative and talented carpenter, taking on fine woodworking and furniture projects throughout his life. For decades after his retirement, Bob ran his renown “RFA Carpentry" business from his workshop in both Toronto's Annex and Port Hope.

Heartfelt thanks to the incredible Sunnybrook Medical teams, whose collective professionalism extended his well-lived years. Bob was a true gentleman. A celebration of his life will be held at a future time.
