The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nora Parker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Nora Kathleen Parker
Peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family, our dear brilliant Nora passed away on Nov. 16 from DIPG, an inevitably fatal brain cancer.

Beloved daughter of Dylan Parker and Joelle Young and adored big sister of Katherine Parker. Granddaughter of Glen and Jackie Young and Sharon and the late David Parker and niece of Jackie and Derek, Karen and Andres, David and Danielle, Glen and Kim, and the late Tom. Nora is also fondly remembered by her cousins, many friends, and staff and fellow students at Shirley Street Public School, where she excelled in every way. A celebration of Nora’s short but beautiful life will be held on Saturday Nov. 25. Donations can be made to Meagan’s Walk or Camp Oochigeas.
