Peacefully at home, in Port Hope on Sunday June 24, 2018 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Anna Mae Ayres. Loving father of Mary Ellen (Evan Meyers), Carolanne (Gerard Lee), and Susan Elizabeth (Robert Marten). Dear Grandfather of David Heeley (Lucky), Melissa Morris (Dave), and Adam Heeley, Katherine Doyle (Evan), Derek (Jennifer), and Clayton Marten, Bradley (Mindy) and Jonathon (Heather) Pickering, Lance, Lawrence (Kara), and Christopher (Kaylyn) Lee. Loving Great Grandfather of Matthew, Jessica, and Maya Heeley, Cavin, Bostyn, Shelby, Logan, and Audrina Pickering, Payton, Kaden, and Danika Lee, Amelia, Myles, and Morgan Doyle, Scarlett, and Daphnie Marten, Sam, Harry, Charolotte, Noah, Callie, and the late Mason Morris. Brother of Jane Ayres, and the late Ethel Ayres. Jim will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Service will be held at Ross Funeral Chapel, on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. with visiting one hour prior.
